What is parental alienation? Parental alienation is a set of strategies that a parent uses to foster a child’s rejection of the other parent (the targeted parent). Parental alienation develops in children who come to hate, fear, and reject the targeted parent as someone unworthy of having a relationship with them. Parental Alienation affects hundreds of thousands of families around the world. For most folks, there is no real support system. Parental alienation anonymous or PA-A Is a 12 step program which is based on the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous and adapted to help folks struggling with parental alienation.
